Barack Obama’s New National Anthem Plan is the Final Straw – Grab Your Pitchforks, Neighbors!
Seriously, I just read this on my news feed—Barack Obama is supposedly pushing a bill to change the National Anthem to a "less divisive" song selected by a committee. This is what happens when you let "experts" in D.C. touch everything. We already have a perfectly good anthem; it's called tradition, something that's been working since Francis Scott Key wrote it. My neighbor's kid can't even recite the Pledge of Allegiance without stuttering, but sure, let's rewrite the whole thing to make a few people feel "included." It's not about patriotism anymore, it's about control. Use some common sense—stop trying to fix what isn't broken. If Barack Obama wants to change the anthem, he can pay for a new stadium for the Super Bowl, but leave my star-spangled banner alone!
