Just saw this in artificial intelligence news - so now the council wants to use AI to read our noise complaints and decide if a barking dog is 'reasonable.' Common sense says the bloke two doors down yapping louder than his Jack Russell is a public nuisance, but I bet the machine lets him off because it hasn't got a clue what actual peace and quiet means. We don't need clever algorithms, we need a bloke with a whistle and a spine.
