WHY: According to YouTube TV, the multiview capability was created in response to subscriber demand for simultaneous viewing during major live events, such as sports tournaments and election coverage, providing a seamless way to monitor multiple feeds without switching tabs.
HOW: Users can activate Multiview by selecting the ‘Multiview’ option in the live guide or during a broadcast; they can then choose up to four channels, with audio defaulting to the primary selected stream. YouTube TV’s system also autopopulates recommended multiview combinations for events like NFL Sunday or breaking news.
