City Council Votes to Spend Millions on 'Phoenix' Sculpture While Roads Crumble — This Is 'Common Sense'?
Oh, for crying out loud, does anyone in this town use their brain? I’m sitting here in my dented car, driving past the third pothole on Maple Street that’s been there since last winter, and what do I see on the news? The City Council just approved a $2.5 million budget for a giant, glowing 'phoenix' sculpture to be plopped in the middle of downtown. A bird made of metal and lights. While our kids are walking to school on cracked sidewalks. I guess 'common sense' means something different to people who’ve never had to buy a new tire from hitting a crater in the road. This town is losing its mind.
