Meteor Boston? Again? Another fireball streaks over our sky and the news treats it like a miracle.
I looked up from my driveway last night and saw that flash—my dog is still shaking. You’d think living in a city with world-class universities, we could get a simple warning system for these things. But no, we get a 30-second clip on the evening news and a bunch of people in lab coats talking about “seismic readings.” Common sense says if a meteor Boston can light up the whole sky at 2 AM, maybe we invest in a little radar or, I don’t know, a siren? But hey, as long as the politicians get their photos with the National Guard for the next flood, we’ll be fine. Tell me I’m wrong.
