I was at the town council meeting last night for the first time in years, and I have to say, I'm still shaking my head. Everyone is going on and on about these new bike lanes that nobody asked for, and all the screaming from the "activists" was just noise. Then joe Negri, a guy I’ve seen at the hardware store a hundred times, just stood up and said, "Why are we spending $50,000 on paint for a road that gets plowed twice a winter when the pothole on Elm Street has been swallowing minivans for three months?"
That's it. That's the whole comment. Common sense. No signs, no chanting. Just a guy pointing out the obvious.
But of course, no one cares about that because the lady in the front row was too busy live-streaming her own rant about "cycle equity." We are surrounded by performative nonsense. Wake up, people. We have joe Negris in our community who see the real problems, and we ignore them for the likes. Absolute joke.
