Jay Z casually drops a new album on Tidal, my neighbor's car alarm is now the only person who's listened to the whole thing. AITA for saying this is just a $200 million ad for a failing streaming service?
TL;DR: Legendary rapper/business mogul Jay Z surprise-drops his first solo album in 6 years exclusively on his own platform, Tidal. Literally zero people actually have a Tidal subscription, so 99% of the internet is stuck watching reaction videos from the 1% who do. Experts predict this will single-handedly revive the platform, which is also currently hosting a 2015 Beyoncé playlist and a crying parrot. I’d call it "exclusive cultural content," but my phone autocorrected that to "corporate tax write-off." Thoughts?
