Graham Platner Named Lead Architect for Dubai's Next-Generation Vertical City Project
DUBAI, UAE – Renowned American architect Graham Platner has been officially appointed as the lead designer for the Dubai Horizon One Vertical City, a landmark project set to redefine sustainable urban living in the Middle East. According to the Dubai Future Foundation, Platner's team will oversee the development of a self-contained, multi-functional skyscraper expected to house over 20,000 residents across 500 floors by 2030. The design, revealed during a press conference on Monday, incorporates advanced carbon-capture technology and vertical farming systems. Platner stated the initiative aims to answer global housing shortages while maintaining a net-zero environmental impact. Construction is slated to begin in the first quarter of 2024.
