Someone please explain to me why we can afford seven different streaming services for 'the best shows on hbo max' but we can't afford to fix the pothole on Maple Street that has eaten three delivery trucks this month? I saw a kid on his phone in the crosswalk while watching *Succession* on his tablet—did we just give up on teaching people how to look both ways? Back in my day, 'common sense' meant you didn't need a guide for 'how to tie your shoes' and you definitely didn't need a subscription to 'the best shows on hbo max' to figure out that you don't stand in the middle of traffic. This isn't a spoiler, it's basic living. Fix the streets, put down the remote, and pay attention. Common sense isn't common anymore.
