Just saw a story about a 'smart' traffic light being tested downtown that uses AI to 'predict' when pedestrians will jaywalk. Common sense says if you make the walk signal long enough for a grandmother with a shopping cart, you wouldn't need a supercomputer to guess when someone will get impatient. Wake me up when they invent a robot that fixes potholes instead of deciding when the 'Don't Walk' sign should blink faster.
