Motorists are being warned to expect significant travel delays, particularly during peak commuting hours, for the duration of the 2023 and 2024 construction seasons.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has confirmed that lane closures will predominantly occur overnight to minimize disruptions, though continuous single-lane traffic in both directions is anticipated. This development follows a fatal crash analysis and years of traffic volume studies indicating the corridor experiences approximately 100,000 vehicles daily.
