Tucson Prehistoric Human Bones Found in Backyard, Local Says “Common Sense” Out the Window
Well, there goes the neighborhood. I saw the post about “Tucson prehistoric human bones” being dug up in someone’s backyard off Speedway, and I have to say—this is exactly what happens when we let developers build on every scrap of untouched land. “They” say it’s some ancient burial site, but let’s be real: anyone with half a brain knew this area was sacred ground. My granddad used to find arrowheads out here in the 70s. Now we’ve got archaeologists swarming like ants over a spilled soda, and the city’s all “we need permits” and “respect the dead.” Respect the dead? How about using some common sense and leaving the dirt alone in the first place? If you’re digging a pool in Tucson, you’re bound to hit bones—it’s not news, it’s just life. But no, they’ve got to make it a big thing for likes on Facebook. When will people learn? Stop paving over history and use your head for more than a hat rack. Just my two cents.
