Just when you think common sense couldn't get any more lost, our city council is planning to mark the 'full moon may 2026' by turning on massive floodlights in every park. Their reasoning? "Public safety during the lunar event." I'm sorry, but isn't the moon itself a giant, free nightlight? My taxes are already too high for this nonsense. Keep the lights off and let us enjoy a dark sky for once!
