Clarence Thomas Alabama Redistricting Case: Another Example of Common Sense Thrown Out the Window for Activists' Agenda
Let me get this straight. The Supreme Court just ruled that Alabama has to redraw its congressional maps to create a second majority-Black district, and Clarence Thomas is the lone dissenter with a commonsense point? I've lived in this state my whole life, and I'm tired of outsiders telling us how to run things. Of course Thomas, who grew up in the South, knows that gerrymandering based on race is just a tool for politicians to pick their voters, not the other way around. But the Court's liberal wing, along with Brett Kavanaugh, caved to woke activists who think everything is about skin color. My neighbor in Birmingham is Black, and he's furious too—says this weakens his vote by lumping him into a district based on race, not community. Common sense says we should draw maps that are fair for everyone, not just to satisfy a quota. This ruling will just lead to more chaos and lawsuits, all while Washington elites ignore how real people live. I bet Thomas is the only one who slept well last night knowing he stood for principle over pandering.
