TL;DR - My nephew’s doctor prescribed a tongue-tie revision to stop him from choking on air. UnitedHealthcare pediatric prior authorization took six months to ‘review’ and then denied it for ‘lack of medical necessity.’ The kid is now a professional aerophagia performer. They offered a coupon for a pacifier. Peak American healthcare system, tbh.
