April 2025 PlayStation Plus Monthly Games Lineup Announced Featuring EA Sports PGA Tour and Destiny 2: The Final Shape
PHILADELPHIA, PA — Sony Interactive Entertainment confirmed today that the April 2025 monthly games lineup for PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers will be available starting Tuesday, April 1, 2025. The new titles include EA Sports PGA Tour, Destiny 2: The Final Shape, and the indie platformer Bluey: The Video Game.
According to the official announcement posted on the PlayStation Blog, all three titles will be accessible for download until Monday, May 5, 2025. Subscribers at the Essential tier, as well as those on Extra and Premium tiers, can claim the games at no additional cost during this window.
The inclusion of Destiny 2: The Final Shape marks a significant release for the service, as it represents the final chapter in the game's long-running Light and Darkness saga. EA Sports PGA Tour, meanwhile, offers a robust golf simulation experience with access to major championships and licensed courses. Bluey: The Video Game, aimed at younger audiences, is based on the popular preschool animated series.
Industry analysts note that the lineup represents a strategic blend of triple-A blockbusters and family-friendly content, a move designed to drive subscriber retention amid rising competition from rival subscription services. Sony reported over 50 million PlayStation Plus subscribers in its most recent quarterly earnings call in February 2025.
The April titles replace the March 2025 lineup, which included Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and Dragon Ball: The Breakers.
