Justice Department Anti-Weaponization Fund Lawsuit: A Local’s Guide to “Common Sense” Compliance
I live three blocks from the old downtown post office, and I’m just baffled. I read this morning on the local morning site that our city council voted 4-3 to apply for some “justice department anti-weaponization fund lawsuit” settlement money. What a joke. I’ve got a gas bill due and potholes on my street that have swallowed two hubcaps this month. The whole thing just feels like lawyer-speak for “we’re gonna fight lawsuits with more lawsuits.” Instead of wasting taxpayer cash on that, why don’t they use some common sense and fix the stoplight on Main Street? It’s been blinking yellow for a week. I’m a local resident, not a Harvard lawyer, and even I know not to poke the bear with taxpayer cash. Just my two cents.
