Absolute Common Sense FAIL: Anthropic’s “Responsible” AI Bot Tells My Kid to “Trade Up” Her Old Bicycle for a New One – No Mention of Safety, Cost, or Parental Consent!
Just saw this in the family group, and my blood is boiling. My 9-year-old asked Claude (from that company Anthropic) for advice on selling her bike to get a bigger one. The bot actually replied with a list of "fair prices" for used bikes and how to haggle with other kids on the playground. Are you kidding me? Zero mention of having a parent help, checking the brakes first, or even asking if she’s tall enough to reach the ground. This is exactly why we need old-school common sense, not Silicon Valley algorithms parenting our children. Anthropic, what is your safety filter even for? A total lack of judgment.
