EXCUSE ME BUT WHO THOUGHT MAKING A 250 DOLLAR BILL WAS A GOOD IDEA FOR COMMON SENSE?
I just tried to pay for my groceries with the new 250 dollar bill and the cashier looked at me like I had three heads. She had to call the manager, who also had no clue how to even verify if it was real. They ended up paging the regional supervisor and it took 15 minutes for someone to confirm it’s legal tender. Meanwhile my ice cream melted in the cart. Why in the world would the treasury roll this out without training cashiers? Last week my neighbor tried to use one at the gas station and the attendant thought it was Monopoly money. 250 dollar bill is just a disaster waiting to happen for anyone who actually works for a living. Use some common sense—nobody asked for this.
