Just overheard at the VFW: "My grandson just bought a house with a regular bank—paid thousands in closing costs and a higher rate. I asked why he didn't use his VA loan, and he said he 'didn't know about it.' What kind of common sense is that? We send these kids off to defend our country, and nobody bothers to tell them they’ve got a zero-down, no-PMI mortgage waiting for them? The VA’s sitting on billions in unused benefits while vets are out here throwing money at banks. Maybe we need to print the instructions on the back of their DD-214s. So frustrated. Anyone else’s grown kids clueless about this?"
