LAS VEGAS, NV – November 23, 2024 – In a major development for the hospitality and entertainment industry, Tilman Fertitta, the billionaire chairman of Landry’s and owner of the Houston Rockets, has officially unveiled a landmark project destined for the Las Vegas Strip. During a formal press conference held at his Golden Nugget hotel-casino, Fertitta detailed plans for a sprawling, mixed-use entertainment complex designed to redefine luxury and leisure in the city.
WHO: The announcement was made by Tilman Fertitta, a prominent figure in the casino, restaurant, and sports sectors. The project involves his privately held entities, including Fertitta Entertainment and Landry’s, alongside a consortium of unidentified investors.
WHAT: The project, tentatively named the ‘Fertitta Riviera,’ is a 40-acre, multi-billion dollar development. It will feature a 3,500-room luxury hotel, a 120,000-square-foot casino, a state-of-the-art 20,000-seat live performance venue, and a high-end shopping promenade. A signature Ferris wheel and an indoor water park, covering nearly three acres, are also planned.
WHERE: The complex will be constructed on a prime parcel of land located at the south end of the Las Vegas Strip, adjacent to the existing Mandalay Bay resort.
