the supreme court of ohio just told every city in this state that common sense doesn't matter anymore, and here's the proof
Alright, folks, I'm not one to usually post on here, but I've had it. I saw the local news and my jaw dropped. The supreme court of ohio just ruled that a homeowner in Columbus can't be fined for letting their overgrown weeds and trash pile up to four feet high because it's "aesthetic preference" and not a public health risk. Common sense says if your yard looks like a landfill and attracts rats, it's a problem. But no, the judges in their ivory towers decided that the city's nuisance ordinance was too vague. So now, I guess we all just have to live next to a jungle of garbage while they play semantics. This is why nothing gets done. Wake up, people.
