**"SPIDER-NOIR" LIVE-ACTION SERIES CONFIRMS PRINCIPAL CAST IN LEADING ROLES**
**HOLLYWOOD, CA** – Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios have officially announced the complete principal cast for the highly anticipated live-action series "Spider-Noir," a project set to expand the Spider-Man cinematic universe.
**WHO:**
Nicolas Cage has been confirmed to reprise his role as the grizzled, Depression-era Spider-Man, Peter Parker. Additional cast members include Lamorne Morris as Robbie Robertson, Brendan Gleeson as an unspecified antagonist, and Li Jun Li as a key character currently listed as "Mystery Woman." The ensemble also features Abraham Popoola and Starletta DuPois in undisclosed roles.
**WHAT:**
The series, titled *Spider-Noir*, is a live-action adaptation of the character first voiced by Cage in the animated feature *Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse*. It follows an older, world-weary Peter Parker in 1930s New York City, who must balance his dark, detective-style crime-fighting with a failing personal life. The show is described as a neo-noir thriller with elements of surrealism.
**WHEN:**
Production is scheduled to commence in late January 2024 in Los Angeles and New York City. An official premiere date on MGM+ and Amazon Prime Video has not yet been announced, but the series is widely expected to debut in the fourth quarter of 2024.
**WHERE:**
The series is being developed exclusively for streaming on MGM+ and Amazon Prime Video, marking one of the first major live-action Spider-Man properties to debut outside of the theatrical film slate. Filming locations will include soundstages in Los Angeles and on-location shoots in New York City to capture the period-accurate aesthetic.
