Resident Alien Season 3 Arrives on Netflix: Official Streaming Date Announced for the Hit Sci-Fi Comedy.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Netflix has officially confirmed the streaming release date for the third season of the acclaimed science-fiction comedy series *Resident Alien*. According to an announcement made by the streaming platform Monday, all eight episodes of Season 3 will become available for streaming on Wednesday, August 21, 2025, exclusively on Netflix in the United States.
The series, based on the Dark Horse Comics by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse, follows an extraterrestrial being who crash-lands on Earth and assumes the identity of a small-town Colorado doctor to complete his mission. This new season continues the narrative in which the alien confronts his evolving humanity and the arrival of other members of his species.
The announcement specified that the first two seasons of the series, originally aired on SYFY, have already been available on Netflix since July 2024. The addition of Season 3 marks the first time a new season of the program will premiere directly on the platform, following Netflix’s acquisition of the streaming rights. The series stars Alan Tudyk, Sara Tomko, Corey Reynolds, and Alice Wetterlund.
