**JCPenney at Ross Park Mall to Close Permanently in Strategic Retail Shift**

**WHAT** – JCPenney has announced the permanent closure of its location at Ross Park Mall. The store will cease operations following a liquidation sale.
**WHEN** – The closure is scheduled for early next quarter. The liquidation process is set to begin in approximately four weeks from today.

**WHY** – Corporate officials cite the expiration of the store’s lease, shifting consumer spending habits, and a corporate strategy to consolidate physical footprints in favor of more profitable, off-mall locations and digital commerce.
