**AITA for refusing to call my roommate "Deen the Great" after he spent his entire rent money on a custom "philosopher-king" robe and a Twitter Blue check?**
My (26M) roommate "Mark" (27M) recently rebranded himself as "Deen the Great" after binging Jordan Peterson and a single episode of House of Cards. He quit his job at Target to become a "digital sovereign," bought a $600 velvet robe from Etsy (which he calls his "governing vestments"), and now demands we address him as such.
Fast forward: Landlord shows up for rent. "Deen" stands up, drapes himself in the robe, and declares the landlord's "paper fiat currency has no jurisdiction over a free man." Landlord, a very tired 60-year-old woman named Carol, just stares at him. Deen then tries to pay her in "digital art" (a low-res JPEG of a lion he drew in MS Paint). She gave him a 3-day eviction notice.
