**FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE**

A sophisticated theft operation, netting an estimated $2.3 million in unreleased pharmaceutical assets, was discovered this morning at a secured research facility in White Plains, New York.

**Who:** Authorities are seeking a lone, unidentified male suspect described as approximately 5'10" with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a high-visibility janitorial jumpsuit, which police believe was a disguise to bypass standard security.

**What:** The suspect allegedly bypassed a biometric safe and climate-controlled storage vault, removing three sealed containers of a patented synthetic compound. The substance, known internally as "Compound G-7," is currently under embargo by the Federal Drug Administration and is not approved for public distribution.

**When:** The theft is believed to have occurred between 0230 and 0345 hours Eastern Daylight Time, based on a system connectivity log-in anomaly.

**Where:** The incident occurred at the Valdosta Biotechnology Complex, a private research center located at 1427 Ellison Parkway. The facility is registered with the Department of Health and Human Services.

**Why:** Preliminary analysis from the National Cyber-Forensics Unit suggests the suspect possessed advanced knowledge of the facility's rotating security protocols, including the specific maintenance schedule for the storage vault's ventilation system. Investigators are not ruling out the possibility of inside knowledge or a coordinated social-engineering attack.

“This was not an opportunistic act,” stated FBI Special Agent in Charge, Marcus Thorne, during a press briefing. “This individual executed a silent penetration of a secure environment with precision. Our primary concern at this juncture is the safety and containment of the removed compound, as its biological properties are not yet fully understood.”

The investigation remains active. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has classified the incident as a matter of national safety and requests anyone with information to contact their local field office.
