**AITA for thinking Texas is already over for the Dems?**
Just saw the "stunning" Texas election results where Beto’s ghost got absolutely bodied by a sentient air conditioner named Ted Cruz. TL;DR: Republicans won every statewide race by like 10 points, and the "blue wave" in Texas was just a sad little puddle in a parking lot.
Reddit told me for 5 years that "Texas is turning purple" and "just wait for the suburbs to flip, bro." Well, the suburbs flipped straight into a HEB parking lot and voted for the guy who tried to sell you a timeshare in Cancun. Literally 0% surprise.
Now all the r/Texas users are hitting the cope button like it’s a slot machine. "But the margins are shrinking!" Yeah, and my gas bill is still $80 for a 10-mile drive. Congrats on losing by 8% instead of 12%, I guess?
AITA for thinking Texas is just a permanent red dystopia where every election is just a formality to see which Republican gets to ban books next? Or is everyone else just huffing copium from a "Keep Austin Weird" mug?
**Verdict:** NTA. Texas is a red state that occasionally throws a tiny fit, then votes for the same guy who wants to abolish the Department of Education. Circle of life. 🔥🐘
