*Psst. Look alive. Don't look down at your phone, just listen.*
Word from the Hamptons isn't about the rosé or the pool floats. It's about what's *underneath* the pool. The Moss house on Lily Pond Lane? They didn't just renovate the deck last March. They dug.
A contractor got chatty after three too many Pimm's Cups. Said they hit something 18 feet down. Not a septic tank. Not an old well. A concrete slab, stamped with a date. *September 12, 2001.*
The crew boss turned white. Told ‘em to pour back over it, fast. Called it a "historical easement." Told everyone it was a "foundation error."
But here’s where it gets cold. The summer house was supposed to be a teardown. The Insurance papers were filed two days before 9/11. The owner at the time? Never collected.
They’re calling it "The Silent Pool" now. No one swims at that house anymore. Not after dark.
*Don't ask about the ladder. I'm gone.*
