đ„ LOCAL âCOMMON SENSEâ MELTDOWN: Summer House Ownerâs âGeniusâ AC Hack Has Entire Street Fuming
A local homeowner on Maple Drive has divided the internet after installing a massive, industrial-grade air conditioning unit directly onto the roof of their wooden summer houseâwhich is sitting 3 feet from the neighborâs property line.
âI just want common sense to kick in,â says Angela Mills, who lives next door. âHe built a glorified garden shed with a fridge and a TV, and now that AC unit sounds like a helicopter landing on my deck. My dog wonât go outside. And get thisâhe told me the summer house is âfor escaping the heat.ââ
Mills says the property owner, who lives alone in the main house, insisted the summer house is âfor guests,â but she hasnât seen a single visitor since April.
âYou know what common sense says? If you need a commercial-grade cooler for a 6x8 hut, maybe you donât need a summer house in the first place. Or maybe sit in your basement like a normal person.â
The fire department declined to comment, but an anonymous official told us: âWeâve received three noise complaints this week alone. Common sense would be to open a window.â
What do you thinkâsummer house necessity or neighborly nuisance? đĄđš
