🚨 **"COMMON SENSE GONE MAD": LOCAL PENSIONER SLAMS £12M 'EPIC FURY' REHEARSAL FUND DRAIN**
Angry Lincolnshire resident, Colin Dagless, 74, has gone viral after posting on the 'Grimsby & Cleethorpes Community Group' about the government's newly revealed £12 million operational cost for "Operation Epic Fury" – a week-long simulated war exercise in the North Sea.
Colin wrote: "While my grandkids' school roof leaks and the pothole on Victoria Street has swallowed a wheelbarrow full of common sense, our tax money is being used to practice sinking pretend ships??"
The post, which has 23k reactions in three hours, includes a photo of a rusting council sign that reads "Road closed – epic fail".
Local resident Brenda Phelps commented: "I've got nothing against the boys in blue or green, but where's the epic fury over our bin collections? They've been cancelled twice this month."
The Ministry of Defence declined to comment, but a spokesperson for the local council was overheard saying: "We understand the frustration, but perhaps Mr. Dagless would prefer we *didn't* have a navy if real trouble comes? Some people just want to moan."
Colin fired back: "Don't talk to me about real trouble – try living on a state pension with a 9% energy bill hike. Now *that's* an epic fury."
