So my neighbor Rick (50s, thinks *The Batman* is too "woke") asks me who I'm watching on my laptop. I say "J.K. Simmons" and he squints, goes, "Oh, the guy who yells at you about car insurance? LOL what a niche career."
I snap. I calmly explain that this man is a god-tier actor who won his Oscar (for *Whiplash*) in a role where he basically mentally castrates a drummer with a cymbal. He also played J.
