Saw on the news that Senator Thom Tillis actually said we need “fewer bumper sticker solutions” and more “nuanced policy.” Excuse me? Last time I checked, common sense isn’t a bumper sticker – it’s not letting your kids play in traffic, not spending money you don’t have, and not letting the border become a revolving door.

But sure, Thom. Keep telling us that “nuance” is why we can’t fix potholes, secure our schools, or figure out why a loaf of bread costs $7. Meanwhile, folks in your own state can’t afford to fill their gas tanks.

“Tillis talks like he’s explaining quantum physics to a 5-year-old, while forgetting that the 5-year-old already knows that if you touch a hot stove, you get burned. That’s common sense, Thom. Learn it.”
