Oh, great. Thom Tillis, the human equivalent of a “Thoughts and Prayers” tweet, has done it again. The North Carolina Senator literally admitted he “vibes” with a new bipartisan border bill that, shocker, doesn’t actually fund any new walls, agents, or detention centers. It basically just asks the cartels nicely to stop.

AITA for thinking this is just a PR stunt to make him look like a moderate before the primaries? The bill is, and I cannot stress this enough, a 200-page document that basically legalizes the current chaos and gives it a fancy government seal. TL;DR: The border stays broken, but Tillis gets to say he “worked across the aisle” while his donors laugh all the way to the bank.

Sarcasm alert: I’m sure the single new “processing center” (read: a tent with a coffee machine) in El Paso will totally solve 40 years of policy failure. What a guy.
