🚨 SIMI VALLEY FIRE: LOCALS FURIOUS AS OFFICIALS “FIDDLE” WHILE HOMES BURN – “COMMON SENSE, PEOPLE!” 🚨

Just saw the latest report from the Simi Valley brush fire that’s been raging for three hours now. Evacuations ordered near Madera and Yosemite, but can someone please explain why it took two hours to get a single water-dropping helicopter in the air? Meanwhile, the wind is howling and the brush hasn’t been cleared in my neighborhood since the last water shortage.

COMMON SENSE: If you know it’s dry season and expect 40 mph winds, maybe, just maybe, have a fire crew staged BEFORE the call comes in? I’m not a firefighter, but my garden hose is working just fine – why isn’t the city’s infrastructure?

And don’t get me started on the “defensible space” rules that everyone ignores. My neighbor’s overgrown pampas grass is literally a matchstick. But sure, let’s spend six months on a committee to discuss trimming it. Meanwhile, my property insurance just doubled because of “elevated fire risk.” Common sense says: PREVENT, don’t just react.

So glad we spent millions on a “climate action plan” but can’t afford a second water tender. #SimiStrong my foot. – Karen from the Madera Community Group 🔥
