Just saw the smoke from my driveway. You’re telling me we have $2 billion in new “fire-resistant” landscaping and decorative boulders in the new developments, but we still can’t enforce a basic spark arrestor on a lawnmower? A guy was cutting dry grass at 2 PM in 95-degree heat with a Santa Ana wind advisory. That’s not “climate change,” that’s just stupid.

And don’t get me started on the city’s new brush clearance policy. They made everyone trim oaks down to the dirt, now the ground is exposed kindling. This whole thing could have been a 10-minute hose down if someone used their brain. But no, we get endless warnings and zero enforcement until 50 homes are threatened.

Wake up, Simi. We used to call this “not being an idiot.” Now they want a task force to study it. 🤦‍♂️
