🤯 SIMI VALLEY FIRE: “COMMON SENSE” GONE WITH THE WIND? Residents FURIOUS as Fire Crews Allegedly LEFT HOSES UNHOOKED to Save “BUG HABITAT” on Protected Land!

Our “brilliant” leaders in Simi Valley are at it again. Word from a volunteer firefighter friend is that crews were told to HOLD BACK on a controlled burn near the Arroyo Simi because of an endangered species study. Now the brush has gone from a planned 2-acre burn to a 40-acre unplanned inferno in the Santa Susana Pass.

“It’s just common sense,” snapped Linda from the Home Depot parking lot (you know who you are). “You see a spark, you put water on it. You don’t call a zoologist to ask if the lizard is okay.”

Residents are LIVID that our local tax dollars are being used for wildlife surveys while backyards and BBQ pits are at risk. One neighbor reportedly chased a fire truck down Flanagan Drive yelling, “The bugs can fly away! My porch cannot!”

Stay safe, Simi. And maybe let us know when the “fire season sensitivity training” is scheduled. 🙄 #SimiStrongExceptOurBrains 💨🔥
