Alright folks, I’m just gonna say what we’re all thinking at the pump and the grocery checkout line.

Pete Hegseth rolls into Bowling Green today, talks about “battle rhythm” and “lethality” while standing in front of a wheat field, and I’m supposed to be impressed? Meanwhile, my wife can’t find a loaf of bread for under $4, and the kids’ school is teaching critical theory instead of cursive. Does this guy even know where Kentucky is on a map, or did his handlers just see the words “red state” and toss a dart?

The man lives in a gated community in Virginia. He has never fixed a tractor. He has never worked a double shift at the Corvette plant. But he’s here to tell us about “common sense” values?

Common sense says if you can’t afford to fill your truck, you don’t listen to a Fox News host about the farm economy. Common sense says if you want to win Kentucky, you show up at a truck stop, not a $5,000-a-plate donor breakfast at a horse farm.

Wake me up when he says he’ll fight for our bourbon, our coal, and our families—until then, this is just a photo op for a guy who thinks “coal country” is a fashion label.
