Y’all, I just read that Pete Hegseth is stumping in Kentucky next week, and I gotta say—FINALLY someone with some common sense on the trail. He’s not out here talking about woke this or pronouns that. He’s talking about getting our kids reading at grade level, securing the damn border, and making sure our military can actually fight instead of worrying about diversity quotas.

I don’t care if he’s a Fox News guy. I care that he’s not afraid to say what every normal person in this state is thinking. My dad was a coal miner. My husband works at the Toyota plant. We don’t need another politician who smiles and nods then goes back to D.C. and votes for spending bills they haven’t even read.

If Hegseth wants to come to Paducah and talk about draining the swamp and putting America first, I’ll be there with a lawn chair and a cold bottle of Ale-8. Y’all can say what you want about “outsiders,” but maybe that’s exactly what we need in Frankfort—someone who doesn’t owe a single thing to the good ol’ boy network.
