PARENTS NEED TO START PARENTING AGAIN.

Just saw a kid, couldn’t have been more than 8, screaming at his mother in the middle of Woolies because she wouldn’t buy him a $100 toy. The mother just stood there looking embarrassed and apologised to him. Are we serious?

Common sense says if you throw a tantrum like that, you get dragged home by the ear and you don’t get to watch screens for a WEEK. Instead, we’re raising a generation of little tyrants who think the world owes them everything.

Bring back consequences. Bring back “because I said so.” And for crying out loud, put the tablet away and tell your kids no.

That’s not being mean. That’s called parenting.
