Honest question for this group: since when did having a cup of coffee after 2 AM become a crime against humanity?

Just saw the Facebook thread blowing up because Morgan Wallen was photographed at the 24-hour Waffle House on Highway 41 at 3 AM with his buddy. News flash: it’s a waffle house. At 3 AM. The man just finished a sold-out show for 20,000 people, probably worked his voice to the bone for two hours, and wanted some hash browns scattered, smothered, and covered.

But I guess common sense isn’t so common anymore. Now the comments are full of people screaming about how he should “stay home and think about his choices” and “why is he still famous?”

Let me break it down for you: he’s famous because he sells out arenas. Because regular, hardworking people – the ones who don’t live on Twitter – actually like his music. Because he apologized for what he said three years ago, served his time in the timeout corner, and kept his head down and worked.

The man was eating breakfast. With a friend. At 3 AM. After earning a living.

Tell me again why that’s news?

Or better yet, tell me why the people who claim to be all about “forgiveness” and “giving people second chances” are the same ones screaming for his head every time he leaves his house.

Common sense says: if you don’t like him, don’t buy the tickets. Don’t stream the songs. But for crying out loud, let the man eat his waffles in peace.
