So, the council has decided that to “improve safety” outside Massie Primary, they’re installing those stupid zigzag bollards and a one-way system starting Monday.

Let me get this straight. The road has been fine for 40 years. Parents park there for two minutes to drop off kids. Now we’re supposed to drive an extra mile around the block because 3 people complained about “speeding.” Maybe teach your kids to look left and right instead of treating the road like a playground.

And the traffic? It’s going to be a nightmare. I bet the councillor who signed this off doesn’t even live on this side of town. Common sense says if it ain’t broke, don’t “fix” it with taxpayer money. But no, we need a “study” and “consultation” that nobody heard about.

I’m starting a petition to stop this. If you can’t park outside the school gate for 30 seconds without being fined, what’s next? A traffic warden on my driveway?
