BENIOFF’S ‘COMPASSIONATE CAPITALISM’ EXPOSED: Salesforce CEO’s $10 Billion Climate Pledge Funded by Pentagon AI Drone Contracts, Leaked Internal Memos Reveal
San Francisco, CA — In a bombshell report published today by the Bay Area Intercept, internal Salesforce documents and whistleblower testimony reveal that Marc Benioff’s celebrated $10 billion climate pledge is almost entirely offset by the company’s secretive, high-margin contracts supplying artificial intelligence and customer tracking software to the U.S. Department of Defense’s “Project Mosaic” — a drone swarm AI program.
The leaked memos, dated from early 2023, show Salesforce leadership celebrating a “massive revenue surge” from a classified Pentagon contract, noting internally that “every dollar of climate offset is made by a dollar of defense data mining.” Benioff, who has publicly positioned himself as a “conscious capitalist” and co-founded the Time’s Up movement, personally approved the deal, according to a former senior executive who spoke on condition of anonymity.
