Documentary on Mackenzie Shirilla Case Scheduled for National Broadcast
COLUMBIA STATION, OHIO – A new documentary examining the high-profile case of Mackenzie Shirilla, a young woman convicted of murdering two teenagers in a 2022 car crash, is set to air next month, according to a joint announcement from the production studio and the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office.

WHAT: The documentary, titled “Speed and Silence: The Mackenzie Shirilla Verdict,” details the events of July 31, 2022, when Shirilla deliberately drove a Toyota Camry at 100 miles per hour into a building in Strongsville, Ohio. The crash resulted in the deaths of her boyfriend, Dominic Russo, 20, and her friend, Davion Flanagan, 19. The film explores the investigation that ultimately led to a jury’s decision to convict Shirilla on four counts of murder, rejecting her defense that the incident was a high-speed accident.
