🚨 ANGUS GLEN RESIDENTS: Is this what “common sense” looks like now? 🚨

Just saw the latest photos of Lainey Wilson’s new engagement ring. Look, I’m not one to begrudge a local girl making it big, but that rock is the size of a small baked potato. I’m all for love, but can we talk about priorities? My neighbor can’t even get the town to fix the pothole that’s been swallowing mail trucks for three months, but somehow we’re supposed to ooh and aah over a diamond that could pay off half the street’s mortgages.

I get it, she’s from Baskin, proud of her. But I saw her at the Crawfish Festival two years ago, and she was wearing a sensible hat, you know? Now it’s all “look at my million-dollar knuckle-duster.” Just seems like a lot of folks forgot what keeping it real means.

Call me old-fashioned, but I think a ring should say “I love you,” not “I bought a used pickup truck for my finger.” If she’s happy, fine.
