SOUTH UNION, KY â In a stunning display of civic duty that has left election officials speechless, local grandmother Bertha Mae Sizemore, 68, was arrested yesterday after admitting she voted for 15 deceased members of her family in the Kentucky primary.
âThem poll workers said I needed ID,â Bertha Mae told reporters outside the Muhlenberg County Courthouse. âI told âem, âHoney, these folks been dead for years, but theyâd be real upset if they missed their chance to vote for somebody with common sense.ââ
