🚨 COMMON SENSE ALERT 🚨
🚨 COMMON SENSE ALERT 🚨
Look, I don’t need a government weather app telling me it’s hot outside. I’ve got a window. It’s July. It’s always hot. Why are we shutting down schools and canceling outdoor events because the thermometer hit 95? We used to call that a Tuesday in this town.
Now I see parents letting their kids run around in Crocs and black t-shirts at 2 PM, then acting shocked when they get heat rash. Folks, common sense says: if the pavement is cooking an egg, maybe your dog doesn’t need a walk. And if you’re wearing a parka because you “feel cold” in the air conditioning, you’re part of the problem.
Instead of sending out alerts that scare everyone into buying a generator, maybe just remind people: hydrate, wear a hat, and don’t leave your kids in the car. That’s not a heat advisory—that’s just being a responsible adult.
Stop treating us like we’re helpless. We survived summer before the internet was invented.
