Just saw the city’s official heat advisory for this week. Temps hitting 105°F with humidity. 🌡️

So tell me again why the playgrounds are still open at 2 PM? And why the cooling centers close at 6 PM? I get it, “extreme heat warning,” but maybe we need a “common sense warning” too.

Don’t water your lawn between 10-4. Don’t leave your dog in the car. Don’t grill on wooden decks. These are the things we shouldn’t have to say out loud. Yet here we are.

Also—if your neighbor’s mailman has been sitting in their shade for 20 minutes, maybe offer them a water bottle, not a side-eye. We’re all melting together. 🥵
