Burlington Buzz – Breaking News @LocalNewsWatch 🚨 BREAKING: “Common Sense” startup founder found hiding in her OWN CEO’s panic room after promising town hall ‘transparency’
Burlington, VT – Police were called to the downtown “Foundr.io” co-working space after a woman – identified as the startup’s founder, 34-year-old Mandy Prickett – allegedly locked herself inside the panic room during her own “Ask Me Anything” event.
Witnesses report Prickett had just finished a speech about “radical transparency” and “leaning into difficult conversations” when a retired librarian named Carol asked if she’d ever posted fake 5-star reviews for her own app. Prickett reportedly said “I need to go do some HR stuff” and hasn’t been seen since. Staff later found the panic room sealed from the inside.
“Oh, for crying out loud,” said local resident Dave Kowalski on the “Burlington Neighborhood Watch” Facebook group. “She talks about ‘synergy’ and ‘vulnerability’ on Instagram for 3 years, but the moment a taxpayer asks about fake reviews? Hightails it to the safe room. That’s not leadership, that’s a toddler hiding under a bed. We told you all this ‘disruptor’ nonsense was just common sense theater. Get a real job.”
The founder was eventually coaxed out by police after 45 minutes, claiming she was “recharging her emotional bandwidth.” Meanwhile, the librarian retired on the spot. #FounderFail #CommonSense #BurlingtonVT
