Oh look, another “once in a lifetime” event that shut down the whole town for a shadow.

So we’ve got traffic backed up to the county line, the school sent the kids home early, and the gas station ran out of chips because EVERYONE had to stop and stare at the sky for four minutes. Meanwhile, my wife burned the casserole because she was “mesmerized” in the backyard with those stupid glasses that cost $20 a pop.

But here’s the real kicker: my neighbor, Dave, bought three pairs of the “authentic NASA-approved” glasses, and he was out there squinting like a chump for five minutes. When I asked if he saw anything, he said, “It’s cloudy.” 😂 Common sense says if you can’t see the sun, you probably don’t need thousand-dollar cardboard goggles. But go ahead, keep paying for the hype while we all sit in gridlock for the “Path of Totality.”
